Teacher

Support the goals, policies and procedures of the extended day school program. These goals include providing a safe and secure environment for children, a quality program of enrichment activities, and high customer satisfaction (children, parents, school facility and administration).

Qualifications: Certification in elementary education, and experience with teaching children in an elementary school setting is required. Incumbent must exhibit enthusiasm, creativity, and energy with children. Good communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population of children and adults required. Knowledge of licensing and school regulatory requirements required. Ability to effectively instruct students in curriculum. Proven ability to provide a supportive and caring environment for children.

Site Assistant

The Site Assistant is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the Extended Day School Program and maintaining a safe and healthy environment in accordance with state regulations. The incumbent will be focused on executing daily activities focused on active learning, academic support and physical education.

Qualifications: Educational and experience based requirements for the Site Assistant will be governed by state child care regulations. CPR and First Aid certified. Experience supervising children in a group environment. Proven ability to execute daily activity plans in a positive and effective manner. Effective listening, communication skill required with both children and adults. Serves in a positive role model capacity and must be enthusiastic, energetic, creative and sensitive to children. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse population. Knowledge of state policies and procedures regarding child care regulations. Proven ability to provide a supportive and caring environment for children.
