Subsidy Program

Our programs are designed to give you peace of mind when your child is not in school. Experienced, caring, and licensed staff ensures your child is safe, engaged, and happy! Every student participates in enrichment activities every day, at no additional charge! Coding, Robotics, Art, Drama, Spanish, Mandarin, Sign Language, Fitness & Sports, and Engineering/Maker Activities keep your child engaged and having fun every day at AlphaBEST! Snacks, homework help, recreation, and student-choice clubs are also provided to every student.
Karissa grew up in a small town in Washington. She received her Bachelors in English as well as her Masters in Teaching. While living in Philadelphia, PA she found her true passion outside of the traditional classroom. Karissa started working for Before/After school care when she moved to Fort Collins, and absolutely loves it! Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and camping with her family.

Nicole has been a dedicated member of the AlphaBEST Education team since 2020. Starting her journey as an Aide, she has worked her way up through various roles, giving her a unique and comprehensive understanding of before and after-school programming. Nicole is deeply passionate about fostering environments where students feel empowered to explore their interests and develop new skills. She prides herself on supporting her staff and building strong, communicative relationships with school leadership and families. Outside of work, you can find Nicole spending quality time with her family or getting lost in a good book.

Sharon Lutz brings over 25 years of experience in early childhood education and school-age programming to her role as Assistant Area Manager. She began her career as a classroom teacher and has since held leadership roles across multiple sites, and has been with AlphaBEST since the organization joined Colorado. Sharon is passionate about building strong relationships with families and school communities, mentoring staff, and ensuring safe, enriching environments for every child. Sharon lives in Greeley, Colorado, and is Director Certified through the state. When she’s not working, you can find her enjoying time with her family, camping, or exploring the outdoors.

Melanie brings 20 years of experience working in before and after-school programs. Raised in a small town in Colorado, her passion for working with children began early—she started babysitting at just 11 years old. Melanie loves the lasting connections she builds through her work and finds joy in seeing many of the same children return to the program year after year. She is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for all the children in our programs. Outside of work, she enjoys listening to audiobooks, being in nature, and spending time with her family.
